IN THE MORNING
Gracious Father, on this World Day
of Prayer for the Pope’s intentions, I turn my thoughts and prayers to priests
and their pastoral ministry. I offer you this day all my thoughts, words and
deeds that priests, who experience fatigue and loneliness in their pastoral
work, may find help and comfort in their intimacy with the Lord and in their
friendship with their brother priests. Our
Father, Who art in heaven...

AFTERNOON: “Come to me, all you who
labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord.” (Matthew
11:28) May all priests seek rest in you, Lord, and may their burdens be lifted
so that they can be faithful imitators of your love and compassion.

NIGHT As another day comes to an
end I am thankful, Lord, for your presence with me this day. In what ways can I
help priests in my local community? How can I help lighten their load? Heal my
heart, Lord, and may I seek creative ways to help others in need. Our Father, Who art in heaven...
